Big Books

We are highlighting our big book collection this month. Big books are exactly that—BIG BOOKS! We have dozens of these in our circulating collection (well over 100); they can be checked out just like regular books. The large size may not be great for small children to handle on their own, but it makes sharing a story with a sizeable class much easier.

We have classics like Curious George by H. A. Rey, Make Way for Ducklings by Robert McCloskey, and The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg. Newer favorites include Bear Snores On by Karma Wilson, Little Blue Truck by Alice Schertle, and Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear? by Bill Martin, Jr.

You can call any library location to see what books are available. We have a variety of big books on display in the Children’s Department at the main library. You can check big books out with a regular library card or a teacher card.
