The Butler branch of MRCPL is located in Southeast Richland County and services the community of Butler, the rural area surrounding it, and the Clear Fork School District. We work closely with the Butler Elementary school and each elementary class visits the library at least once a month. We also facilitate a High School Book Club at Clear Fork High School, a joint venture with the Bellville Branch Library, as well as other activities throughout the year. The Butler branch also hosts the Bromfield Book Club, which is a partnership with the Lucas and Bellville Libraries. We also work with other community organizations, including the Butler Area Merchants’ Association to provide a variety of outreach activities within the community.
The Butler branch of MRCPL serves a small community but plays a vital role. We offer a selection of many different types of materials, as well as a variety of programs for all ages. Whether you want to check out an item, need help with printing, faxing, or copying, or are just looking for a place to pass some time, our friendly and helpful staff will always be there to welcome and assist you!
As the children’s librarian, I offer fun and exciting programs for children of all ages, and I keep up on new trends to keep kids coming back. The Butler Elementary School students walk down to listen to a book reading and then they pick out books to take back to class. I enjoy helping kids find the right book!
