Attention OverDrive Users

As OverDrive begins its sunset, we encourage users to switch to using Libby. The OverDrive app will be removed from the Apple App Store, Google Play, and Microsoft Store on February 23, 2022. For existing users, the app will still be useable for the time remaining, but neither new users nor previous users will be able to download the app after this date. By the end of 2022, OverDrive plans to have most users migrated to Libby. A final day of service has not been determined at this point in time.

Libby has the same great titles as OverDrive but with new features! Readers will enjoy new accessibility features—with more to come—including screen reader support, text size options, sepia and night modes, and even a specially designed font that’s dyslexia friendly! Users are also able to leave bookmarks, create notes and highlights, and define words all in the app.

Get started with Libby today! Click here to sign up.

This blog post will be updated as more information on OverDrive’s discontinuation timeline becomes available. Updated Jan. 21, 2022.
