Discover and access free tickets to area attractions with your MRCPL library card!

The Adventure Pass connects library cardholders to cultural experiences for people of all ages supporting a vibrant quality of life in Richland County. 

Adventure Pass Partners

Formerly known as Little Buckeye Children’s Museum, this hands-on, play-based children’s museum is perfect for families with children ages 2-10 years old. With nearly 40 interactive exhibits, children can explore real world experiences. A single Adventure Pass to the museum is valid for up to four people and unlimited visits for three days, including the day of checkout. 

Kingwood Center Gardens is renowned for its distinctive floral displays, unique plant specimens, woodland trails, story walk, Garden Gateway, historic mansion and gardens, display greenhouse, duck pond, and peacocks. A single Adventure Pass is valid for one visit on the day of checkout or up to two days after. After the third day, the pass expires. One pass is valid for admission of up to 4 people; children 12 and under are admitted free.

Note: Adventure Passes are valid for general garden admission only and may not be used for special events, including Wine Walk, the Great Pumpkin Glow, Christmas at Kingwood, and any other event days as determined by Kingwood Center Gardens. 

Carousels are always in style! Experience old-fashioned charm in a fun, modern setting as you venture on a chariot or ride one of our dozens of colorful, hand-carved animals. A single Adventure Pass to RCP is valid for two rides for up to 4 people; adults and children can both ride. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

RAA exists to enrich the lives of our students and community members within a safe, professional environment as they discover their inner visual artists, musicians, dancers, and creators. A single Adventure Pass is redeemable for up to 2 people to take part in one of the below drop-in classes. Note: Age requirements vary by class.

Adult/Teen Yoga (Ages 12+) – Mondays 7:15-8 PM. Classes 1/15 – 3/4
Kickboxing (Ages 16+) – 2nd & 4th Thursdays of the Month, 6:30-7:30 PM. *Please call ahead to register for this class.* 
Pilates (Ages 16+) – Saturdays 9-9:45 AM. Session 1 Classes 2/3 – 2/24. Session 2 Classes 4/6 – 4/27. 
Salsa Aerobics (Ages 16+) – Wednesdays 7:15-8 PM. Classes 1/17 – 3/6. 
Kenpo classes available with Adventure Pass:
Kenpo IV (Adults) – Tuesdays 6:30-8 PM or Saturdays 9-10:30 AM * Please call ahead to register for this class.*

Passes can only be used for one visit to the Richland Academy of the Arts.

The Mansfield Playhouse, building on its legacy as Ohio’s second oldest continuously-producing community theater, provides a variety of affordable theatrical experiences on both sides of the curtain. We are dedicated to achieving the highest quality in all we do, enriching and educating our audiences and volunteers, and reaching beyond the walls of the Playhouse to embrace all elements of our community. A single Adventure Pass to The Mansfield Playhouse is valid for up to 2 performance tickets. The Pass must be converted to a ticket by calling or visiting the box office at least 24 hours in advance of the event.

Stroll the halls and visit the cells of some of history’s toughest criminals. Tour the intact set of the iconic movie, The Shawshank Redemption. Whether you’re reliving scenes from classic films, hunting for the paranormal, or basking in beautiful Romanesque architecture, take a walk through history at The Ohio State Reformatory. A single Adventure Pass to OSR is valid for one, self-guided tour for up to 2 adults and the minor children of one household. The pass is valid for one visit on the day of checkout or up to two days after. After the third day, the pass expires.

NOTE: Passes may not be accepted for special events. Call OSR directly to confirm Pass acceptance. 

Broadway-style musicals, symphonies, concerts, family and educational events—the Renaissance Theatre “aspires to be a model for advancing the creative spirit of a community through the power of the arts.” A single Adventure Pass to The Renaissance Theatre is valid for up to 2 performance tickets. Tickets will be available within two weeks of the opening night of each show.

Adventure Pass Policy

  • Due to the limited supply, Adventure Passes may only be checked out in the Circulation Department at the Main Library.
  • Only one Adventure Pass can be checked out on a library card at any given time. See the information associated with each partner above for pass validity details. 
  • Adventure Passes are available to customers ages 18+ years old who have library cards in good standing. 
  • Passes cannot be put on hold. They are available on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Borrowers must present their photo ID to check out a Pass and must also present it when redeeming the Pass at a destination.
  • Teacher and Institutional cards cannot be used to check out Adventure Passes, but they are available for new cards, temporary cards, and Lobby Stop cards.
  • Each Adventure Pass will include a receipt or voucher, with an expiration date, and an informational flyer. In most cases, the Pass will be a library checkout receipt with the borrower’s name and the date of the checkout.
  • Passes are non-renewable but do not need to be returned. 
  • Adventure Pass holders are responsible for confirming admission restrictions, facility hours, etc. directly with the partnering location.

    Each participating community partner sets its own rules for how many individuals are covered under their passes and all guidelines for use.
