Story Times

By attending library programs on a regular basis, the child can develop the skills of listening, asking questions, taking turns, following instructions, and other important social skills required by the time they enter school. It’s about so much more than just the reading of books!

Upcoming Story Times

Not Sure Which Story Time to Attend?

Baby Story Time

Recommended for children from 6 to 24 months (pre-walkers and walkers) and their caregivers, but all are welcome. We encourage active participation in these programs that include rhymes, songs, lap games, stories, music, interactive activities and book sharing time.
This program helps develop language skills and is a great way to meet other new parents.

Explore on the Floor

Ages 6 months through preschool and their caregivers can participate in this drop-in story time with a twist. We build early literacy skills, engage in sensory play, and interact with others as we explore the world around us. It is an opportunity for parents and caregivers to “play with purpose” with their little one.

Toddler Story Time

Recommended for children 2 – 3 years and their caregivers, but all are welcome. Participants will enjoy this lively program of songs, rhymes, movement, imaginative activities and book sharing time.
This program introduces children to the literature and rhymes of early childhood and encourages group participation.

Family Story Time

Join us for a variety of wonderful stories and enjoyable library activities. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate with their children.  Everyone is invited to come share some fun with us!

Join our Facebook group to stay in-the-loop and interact with our librarians.

We have LaunchPads available for checkout to keep the learning going from your home. These LaunchPads are pre-loaded with audiobooks, learning apps, videos, and read-alongs.
