Our Summer Library Program is finally here! Be artistic and create at this year’s Summer Library Program, Color Our World, which begins June 2 and ends July 26.

Participate to Win!

Read books, attend any of our programs, and create wondrous crafts to earn tickets towards prizes. Read ten items and earn a $10 gift card to Walmart! The ten items can include books, audiobooks, eBooks, graphic novels, comics, and more. Enter your titles into the participation guide and show a staff member a complete list to collect your gift card.

Each item read also earns you a ticket for the midpoint and grand prize drawings. Read more than ten items? We’ll provide you with a form to fill out for additional prize entry tickets. Attending programs or turning in completed activity sheets also earn you tickets!

Week of June 2: Paint with Stickers Collaborative Masterpieces
Add a sticker to your favorite branch’s “Paint by Stickers” that will be hung up after the first week of summer!
Week of June 9: Artist Scavenger Hunt
Use a keen eye and uncover a series of hidden masterpieces while matching them to their artist.
Week of June 16: Word Search Try your hand at finding all 15 of the hidden art-related words in this search!
Week of June 23: Origami
What is origami? It is the art of folding paper into shapes and figures.
Week of June 30: Crossword
How well do you know your art history? Test your skills with this crossword puzzle about famoust artists and art.
Week of July 7: Create Your Own Puzzle Pick up a puzzle to customize into a unique creation all your own! Available while supplies last.
Week of July 14: Movie Match Up Lights, camera, action! Test your movie knowledge by matching movie descriptions to the correct movie titles.
Week of July 21: Book Scavenger Hunt Are you looking for a new book to read? How about selecting a new book based on the colors on the cover of your favorite book? Come into the Library to mix your colors, then hunt for a new book to read!

Design a Popcorn Bucket

Earn a ticket and a chance to win a $10 Cinemark gift card is as easy as 1, 2 ,3! This contest runs Jun. 9-30.

Pick up your popcorn bucket at your local library location.
Decorate it. (Must be appropriate for public viewing!)
Submit a photo to teenzone@mrcpl.org OR bring it to your location.

Color Your World Photography Contest

Share the colors in your world! Earn a ticket and a chance to win a $10 Domino’s gift card. The contest runs July 1-26.

Take a creative photograph. (Must be appropriate for public viewing!)
Bring the photo to your location for staff to print, or email it to teenzone@mrcpl.org. Include your name (first and last), grade, phone number, and library branch with your photo
