Celebrate 250 years of Ohio and America this summer with the Library! We have fun and educational programs lined up for all ages.

American Quilt

Win an Americana Quilt!

Jun. 1 – Jul. 11

Adults, attend any program at any location between June 1 and July 11, submit a special ticket, and you’ll be entered to win! The prize is a
51″ x 66″ hand-crafted quilt entitled “Born to Run” crafted by Country Fabrics in Shiloh, Ohio. One winner will be chosen from all attendees and announced on July 17.

The quilt will be on display in the 2nd-floor lobby at the Main Library beginning on June 1. *Participants must be 18+ to enter.

For over 250 years, the records of American soliders have become invaluable to genealogical research. Join us to learn everything there is to know about Fold3®, the premier database for records from the Revolution to the Vietnam War.

Join us as Kevin Wood, a historical reenactor, brings Mr. Lincoln to life. This is a definite must see!

It’s a penny party, not a pity party! Join us in celebrating the life and legacy of the penny. There will be crafts, snacks, and a chance to take a photo with Abraham Lincoln!

Happy 250th Birthday, America!
Wed. Jun. 24, 5 PM – Main Library Family-Friendly

In celebration, local historian and Bellville Branch Manager, Josh Andra, will read the Declaration of Independence at the opening reception. The Fun Center Chordsmen, Mansfield’s premier a cappella chorus, will then entertain with a few patriotic classics. Refreshments will be served. Happy Birthday, America take-home cake kits will also be available; while supplies last.
