Auto Renew

Auto Renew

This new, convenient service will automatically renew your eligible materials on the due date. You won’t have to lift a finger. Eligible library items will be automatically renewed as long as no holds have been placed on them by other library customers. Items may be renewed a maximum of 3 times.

All customers are eligible for Auto Renew. If you receive email or SMS/text notifications, you'll receive a courtesy notice, similar to the previous courtesy notices, about the items that were (or were not) renewed three days before the due date. So - instead of the notice just telling you that you have items due back soon, it may say that some of your items were automatically renewed. The email notice will give you a list of the items that were renewed.

If you now receive either phone or mail notifications, these are just for overdue items. You will need to check your account or sign up for email or SMS/text notifications to get the courtesy notice before the due date.

Yes. In addition to having Auto Renew in place, you will be able to renew online, by phone or in person as before.

Can I opt out of Auto Renew?
No. All eligible items will automatically renew.

Do I lose days on the auto-renewal?
No. The item will renew from the original due date, even though the Auto Renew will occur three days before the original due date. A little confusing, we know – just remember that you won’t lose days.
