Stay Current

From New Arrivals to Upcoming Events

The Mansfield/Richland County Public Library will be hosting our annual Black History Celebration, Saturday, Feburary 1, 2020 from 11 AM to 3 PM.

In the past, it's been dressing/stuffing, sweet potato pie, pound cake, red velvet cake, or others. Get ready to enter your best recipe into the contest! This year we will be judging sweet potato pies.

Get your entry form!

Drop off your pie along with your entry form at 10:30 AM in the Community Room for the judges to taste.

Every year we have a marketplace that opens at 11 AM in our second-floor lobby full of ethnic crafts and clothing, historical displays, local businesses, organizations, social agencies, and vendors. If you or your organization would like a spot as a vendor,

Each year we have a catered meal full of classic soul foods open to the public from 11:30 AM- 1 PM during the celebration. This year the meal will be catered by Miss Lil's Catering.

The afternoon is filled with live performances by local musicians, artists, and more. We also have crafts in the Children's Department throughout the day and bracelet stamping in the Teen Zone from 11- 1 PM
