Book Review: Love From the Crayons

March 09, 2020 0 comments

Love From the Crayons by Drew Daywalt and Oliver Teffers
from Miss Rachel at Lucas and Butler Branches

A book for little ones learning colors, Love From Crayons is a hit! Each color gets a
chance to draw something in their color. Not only do they draw in their color, but they
draw things that each color loves. For example, the red crayon loves hearts, but a few
of the colors get creative with items that they love! The white crayon is hard to see and
the animals illustrated are a polar bear and a white cat. Both children and adults will find
a little humor in this book.

Love From the Crayons is a small book and perfect for little hands, and the
repetitiveness is great for early readers. Love comes in many shapes and colors, and
the childlike drawings are cute and add to the simplicity of the book.
Drew Daywalt has many other books; check out The Day the Crayons Quit, Forky in
Craft Buddy Day, and my personal favorite, The Legend of Rock Paper Scissors.
