Our collection of this award winning series features over 30 foreign and domestic destinations. An upbeat narrator highlights world class attractions in each city. Exploration, adventure and culture are the focus. Travel with me to three of the cities in our collection.
First we find that Belfast is known for its street art and brimming window boxes. At other stops we see the only remaining Victorian jail (that closed when the Spice Girls were still on the charts), real Spanish treasure and the Titanic Museum Experience.
Next it’s onto St. Petersburg, Florida. Its beaches compare to those in the South of France. Early in this city’s history, land was dredged along the entire shoreline to produce the lovely park seen today. We can find the area where Greek immigrants started a booming sponge diving trade and where masterworks of a Spanish surrealist artist are housed.
Our last stop is Oslo, the capital of a nation known for their seafaring tradition. Various museums house well preserved Viking ships, Amundsen’s Polar exploration ships and vessels used in Hyerdahl’s expeditions. We can decide whether we’d want to eat lutefisk or other seafood. Of course there are fjords and castles. “Tusen takk” (a thousand thank-yous) for travelling along with me!
