Goodbye, I Love You

Things happen for a reason
Even if you don’t know what it is.
You can be so close to them or so far apart.
But if you know they’re yours,
they’ll always be close to the heart.
All people die
even if you don’t get to say goodbye.
I love you with all my heart even if I had strange ways to show it.
But I wish I wasn’t because now I’m saying goodbye,
and I knew you loved me and didn’t care
because you were always right there.
Even though you had to leave I will see you soon
and remember you by looking at the bright white moon.
Right now I find myself
here crying, trying to get the right words out.
I love you; I miss you, and I know you’re in a better place …
