Out of My Mind by Sharon Draper
Out of My Mind is about eleven-year-old Melody, a smart girl with a head full of words. But because of her cerebral palsy, she cannot walk, talk, or express herself. She is extremely intelligent; she remembers everything she has seen or heard, and she has a sharp and humorous wit. So when she finds a way to communicate with those around her, Melody and her family are thrilled.
Out of My Mind is one of the best books I read this year. Melody is a fascinating and humorous character. Her story is inspiring, interesting, and eye-opening. I think everyone can enjoy this book and learn something from it.
