Ender's GameEnder’s Game by Orson Scott Card

Ender is a third (child).  The world is over-populated, so people can only have two children.  Ender is one day whisked to Battle School, a place where kids like him train to fight the buggers, the humans' enemy from another planet. But the thing is, Ender is only six, and the best the school has ever seen. Will the humans defeat the Buggers, or will the Buggers prevail?
