Min Green has a box full of reasons why she broke up with her ex-boyfriend Ed Slaterton. In a letter to Ed, she describes every object’s importance in the demise of their relationship. In a tale of first love and loss, Daniel Handler incorporates a biting and bitter wit with hope for future love.

I enjoyed this book because it was truly hilarious. With every page, Min would make comments that would crack me up. While I love Min, I felt her distain for Ed and grew to share it. Combined with beautiful illustrations, Daniel Handler’s new novel is excellent.
