Child of the Mist by Kathleen Morgan

Child of the Mist is the first in a series of three books by Kathleen Morgan about love and battle in the Scottish highlands.  In the Scottish highlands, love is deep, but clan loyalty is deeper.  Niall Campell is a young widower and chief of the clan Campbell.  Anne McGregor is a feisty healer and the only child of the McGregor chief.  To end the constant feuding between the two clans, the McGregor chief promises Anne for an arranged marriage to Niall Campell.  Both stubborn and hot-tempered, the possibility of love seems more hopeless after every dispute.  Meanwhile, Niall's clan thinks Anne is a witch and someone wants Niall dead.  Will Niall uncover the traitor before it’s too late? Will Anne and Niall learn to live and work together?
