By the Time You Read This, I’ll Be Dead. That is the promise that Daelyn makes to herself at the beginning of the book. Being bullied since kindergarten and attempting suicide more than once because of that hasn’t improved Daelyn’s outlook on life. So when she stumbles across a web site called Through-the-Light, a site for completers, she registers herself. Now she has 23 days, the minimum the site will allow, to prepare for her death. But just as she is severing what few ties she has to the people in her life, a boy named Santana begins the process of befriending her. The trouble is that he is persistent; he won’t take no for an answer. Just when Daelyn can’t be letting people into her life, she finds herself tempted by Santana.
