So…you might have noticed that we’ve been making a lot of book trailers here at Bits and Brambles. There’s no real reason, other than…well, they’re fun . What’s not fun about movie trailers for books?! And the thing is…making them is sort of like eating potato chips. Once you create one, you sort of…can’t stop. You start thinking about all these other awesome books you read, and how easy it would be to make a book trailer.
And trust me, we have a lot of awesome books to share. Like Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac.
The book is a few years old—it came out in 2007. I remember that I started reading it right after it was published, and I sort of…never finished it. The thing is, I don’t really remember why. I think I was reading a couple different books and it was just one of those crazy-busy months, so I just…returned it. But then a lot people kept telling me how good it was (and they’re usually not wrong.) The book was so popular, it was made into a movie in Japan! And Emma Roberts and Anton Yelchin are in it, and everything!
And when it made the list of our Best Stand-Alone Teen Books of the Decade? I decided to give it another shot. Which was a very good idea, because this time? I seriously couldn’t put it down. I had to know what was going to happen with Naomi, Will, and James.
So…let that be a lesson, Bits and Bramblers. If at first you’re just not that into a book, feel free to try again. Because you don’t know what you’re missing until the very. last. page. (Which is why I’m not giving up on The Hunger Games, even though I’m…just not that into it…yet. But too many of you have told me how awesome it is, so I’ll keep reading!)
And you should believe me, and check out Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac. But if you’re still not sure…maybe our book trailer will convince you!
