Programs for Children
Session 2 Fall Story Times start the week of November 2nd- December 11th
Toddler Story Time Tuesday's at 11:00am
Children 2-3 years and their caregivers will enjoy this lively program of songs, rhymes, movement, imaginative activities and book sharing time. This program introduces children to the literature and rhymes of early childhood and encourages group participation.
Preschool and Kindergarten Story Times Tuesday's at 1:00pm
A special story time for the "big kids", ages 4 and 5, who are ready to participate in group activities on their own. Story times offer books, music and movement activities to encourage children to become lifelong readers. (Parents/caregivers must remain in the library building during these programs.)
Baby Story Time's Wednesday's at 10:30am
Children from 6 to 24 months and their caregivers participate in these programs of rhymes, songs, lap games, stories, music, interactive activities and book sharing time. These programs help develop language skills and is a great way to meet other new parents.
Brick Builders Lego Club
Thursday December 3rd from 4:00 -5:00pm
Children in grades K-5 can join the library Lego Club. We'll supply the Lego's - you bring your creativity, imagination, and fun!
Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt
Starts Monday November 23rd - Saturday November 28th
Children of all ages. Complete the scavenger hunt and receive a small prize!
Turkey Make and Take Craft
Monday November 23rd between 1:00 and 7:00pm
Children of all ages. Stop by to make a turkey craft just in time for Thanksgiving!
Run, Run as Fast as You Can!
Monday December 7th at 6:00pm
Children of all ages. Run as fast as you can to the Ontario Branch for some silly Gingerbread stories, music & craft. Please call us at 419.529.4912 to sign up for this free program
Saturday December 12th at either 11:00am or 3:00pm
Children of all ages/ families. Create a gingerbread house of your own at the library. All materials will be provided, but registration is required! Sign up starts on November 23rd! Call 419.529.4912 to sign up.
