Mansfield/Richland County Public Library

The Mansfield/Richland County Public Library is a Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center. As such, the library provides resources to assist non-profit organizations in fundraising. Each Cooperating Collection Library has a core collection which consists of foundation and grant directories, a guide to proposal writing, a guide to grant seeking on the internet, and information about foundation giving trends.

Foundation Directory Online Professional (Main Library only)
FDO Professional is a tool that allows non-profit organizations to search for grant money using four comprehensive databases.  FDO Professional is updated weekly.

Foundation Grants to Individuals Online  (Main Library only )
Foundation Grants to Individuals Online allows one to search for foundations that are willing to "fund students, artists, researchers, and other individual grantseekers".

The catalog contains listings of assistance programs administered by federal agencies.  You may search by key word or program number or browse by agency, sub-agency, type of assistance, program title, applicant eligibility, program deadline, beneficiary and subject area.

Foundation Center

The Foundation Center site provides information about foundations and grantmakers: online training for grantseeking, proposal writing and funding research; calendar of events for training workshops; and frequently asked questions about grants and nonprofits.  This site also provides access to the IRS 990-PF, the private foundation tax return.

Grants.gov allows organizations to electronically find and apply for more than $400 billion in Federal grants.  By registering once on this site, your organization can apply for grants from 26 different Federal agencies.
