Beep, an official selection of the 2016 GeekFest Film Festival, and a Winner for Best Editing at the 2016 Melbourne Documentary Film Festival, covers the history of arcade and video game sounds and interviews the artists who created the game sounds.   The development of game sounds and music, from the Penny Arcade era of the 1900s to the video games of the 2010s are covered.   I liked the interviews, because the game sound artists are given a platform to gain recognition for the work they did on different games.  The artists each explained how they began enhancing arcade and video games, using available limited audio technology, and progressed to the current day’s advanced audio technology to create game sounds for enjoyable audio gaming experiences.  Extra features are Big in Japan, Ryu Imemoto Special, and Industry Insider Tips.   This video is recommended for people who are interested in game audio history.
