Book Review: How a Ship is Built
How a Ship is Built by Sam Aloian
From Miss Melanie at Main Library
This week we have another wonderful review from Miss Melanie at the Main Library. She wanted to share a new nonfiction book with us about shipbuilding. This book is called How a Ship is Built. This book is part of the "Engineering Our World" series. According to Miss Melanie, "The book is packed with information on how ships float, how they are built, and how they are tested."
This book takes readers on a behind the scenes tour on the process of shipbuilding and how builders make monster vessels. Beautiful pictures document every step of the journey from (dry) dock to castoff. Another fun bonus at the end of the book are instructions to make your very own boat out of paper!
