Summer Library Program Finale!
The end of July is near and summer is winding down, especially here at the library. Our annual Summer Library Program is in its last week, meaning there are only a few more days to attend great programs and turn in those tic-tac-toe sheets. Where did the summer go?!
This summer, we welcomed several awesome performers and hosted some very cool programs such as Jedi Training, Yoga, Ninja Party, Minecraft in Real Life, and Library Dance Party. Over 3,600 children stopped by one of our nine locations to sign up for and participate in 8 weeks of reading, exploring, learning, and exercising their bodies and minds!
We really enjoyed helping our customers have fun reading and visiting the library! Be sure to come visit us this week to turn in tic-tac-toe sheets to earn your free book and entries for our grand prize drawing. Also this week, we welcome the Wump Mucket Puppets and continue to offer programming for children and families. As a grand finale, we will be hosting a Carrousel Party this Friday, July 29 from 5:30 - 7:00 PM. Each branch will also have end of SLP activities so be sure to call or stop by to get more information.
Even though SLP will be ending, we encourage everyone to keep on reading! Whether it's reading your favorite book, listening to an audiobook while on a road trip, playing Scrabble® with friends, or creating your own comic book, using literacy skills every day will help keep your mind sharp and build your knowledge. We are so glad everyone decided to spend part of their summer with us. Thanks for helping to make it a great summer!
