SLP Update & Goodbye, Discover Tech

July 1, 2016

This first day of July wraps up the end of the 4th week of our Summer Library Program (SLP). How are you doing? Have you completed several tic-tac-toe sheets and collected your scratch-and-sniff bookmarks yet? We hope you are progressing nicely, since we are just about halfway to the finish line.

We've had some great performers, like comedy juggler Matt Jergens, the music-playing dudes of Cooking Caravan, and some marvelous Mad Science! This next week will be a break from performers, but don't worry, they'll be back for the last 3 weeks. We are looking forward to local magician Dave Lehman, animal educator Jungle Terry (with live animal friends!), and a variety show featuring Wump Mucket Puppets. We hope you'll join us!

Main Library and all other branch locations also offer library programs for children of all ages. Check with your local branch to see what is scheduled in July; from Minecraft and Story Time to Martial Arts and Jedi Training, we're sure you'll find something worth coming for.

This is also the last week for the interactive and family-friendly Discover Tech exhibit to be at the Main Library, so stop in before July 8th to either see it again or enjoy it for the first time. Don't wait too long, or you'll miss out on all the fun your library has to offer this summer!
