National Sports and Physical Fitness Month

Walking, running, basketball, baseball, football, swimming, soccer, dancing...

Those are just some sports we can think of off the top of our head.  There are so many ways to have fun and stay active everyday!

So... Happy National Sports and Physical Fitness Month!

According to Let's Move, a government sponsored program, "Regular exercise in nature is proven to improve children’s physical and mental health. Outdoor activity helps kids maintain a healthy weight, boosts their immunity and bone health, and lowers stress."

Speaking of outdoor activity, in honor of National Sports and Physical Fitness Month and National Outdoor Games Week, the library will have 3 outdoor games programs at:

5/24      Main Library        3:30-5:00 PM

5/25      Plymouth            1:00 PM

5/26      Crestview            1:00 PM

The library will provide fun snacks and drinks, as well as sidewalk chalk, bubbles, hula hoops, jump ropes, cornhole, bouncy balls, and etc.

It should be a ton of fun, so please consider stopping by!

Celebrate sports and physical fitness any way you like, just get out there and be active!!!
