Crafting with Kids: Spring Flowers

March 30, 2016

Spring is officially here! And we've got a super craft for you to make that will brighten your entire day!

Miss Melanie put out the all crafting supplies this week, and the kids have been making beautiful bouquets while they've been in during Spring Break week.

You can make one too! Here's how:

  • Get a piece of green construction paper, cut it in half the long way, and make cuts every 1-2 inches along the long edge, but be careful not to cut all the way through (leave about 2-3 inches intact).

  • Roll the uncut side of the paper into a circle shape, but not too tightly. There should be strips on the inside and strips on the outside. Fasten with a stapler or with tape.

  • Fold or bend the outer strips down and glue brightly colored flower shapes to the ends. Repeat with the inner strips, but leave those standing up. You can also decorate with cut squares of tissue paper to add dimension to the flowers.

  • Now, go and present your bouquet to someone special!

Happy Spring!
