Book Review: Robo-Sauce

February 12, 2016

Robo-Sauce by Adam Rubin
From Miss Amanda at Plymouth and Crestview

“If only there were some sort of magical ‘Robo-Sauce’ that turned you into a giant awesome robot…” This is the wish of a boy who thinks that life would be way better if only he could turn into a robot with ‘lasers for eyes, rockets for feet, and supercomputers for brains’. Everything is awesome until everyone and everything, including the book, transform into robots before our very eyes (complete with text written in robot)!

The illustrations are done in muted neutrals, all except for the blinding neon orange robo-sauce and robot eyes! The most fun is reading this book aloud and taking the opportunity to use your best robot voice beep boop beep…
