Crafting with Kids: Mother's Day
Today is Mother's Day! An official holiday for over 100 years, Mother's Day is celebrated to recognize and honor mothers everywhere. What better way to do this than to make Mom something special? This month's crafting post can give you some great ideas!
Miss Melanie at Main Library hosted a Mother's Day Make & Take, featuring these awesome felt butterfly magnets and 3D pinwheel flower cards! She also found a "All About My Mom" worksheet to show how great moms are! And if you missed last year's Mother's Day craft post, we made dried lavender pouches.
What else could you make for Mom? How about a beautiful bookmark? Or a beautiful handprint card? FamilyFun magazine has a Mother's Day Pinterest board full of awesome crafts, gifts, and treats for Mom. The Family Education website also has many Mother's Day printables to choose from. And for gifts older kids (and adults!) will enjoy making, check out Parents magazine's list of "The Best Mother's Day Crafts for Kids." Want even more ideas? Check out DLTK's website and Danielle's Place!
Happy Mother's Day and happy crafting!
