Happy Birthday, Mary Downing Hahn!
Today we celebrate the birthday of a true master of mystery, suspense, and ghost stories! Mary Downing Hahn was a former children's librarian (woo-hoo!) who began writing more than 30 years ago. Her first breakout novel, Wait Till Helen Comes, is still in print and seems to be as popular as ever. Her newest book, Where I Belong, is not a ghost story, but instead seems like a good realistic fiction story for school age children. See a complete review here.
Other spine-tingling books include The Old Willis Place and Time for Andrew, both ghost stories. In addition to the juvenile fiction books by Ms. Hahn, we also have teen books, an audiobook, and digital books (both eBooks and eAudiobooks) available through our catalog. Check out this interview conducted by the American Library Association (ALA) that shares some more good information about Ms. Hahn and her books.
