Books
A wide range of fiction, nonfiction and reference materials, covering
varying points of view, is available for loan or use in the library.
Newspapers and Magazines
Popular magazines are available at all locations. Over 400 titles
are available on microfilm at the Main Library. Approximately 20 newspapers
are available at the Main Library.
Reference
Information and assistance is available in person or by telephone
at any library location. Main Library can also be contacted by fax
at 525-4750. The Main Library houses a wide range of reference materials
for use at the library.
Consumer
Information
Library books and magazines carry product reviews, health information,
used car prices and many other resources for smart shopping.
Reader's Advisory
Library staff is trained to help customers find just the right book
for leisure reading.
Computer Lab
Microsoft Office Products, the Internet and a selection of educational
software for children and adults are available in the lab. Assistance
is offered during library hours and individual training is scheduled
by appointment. Computer related workshops are presented on an ongoing
basis.

Inter
Library Loan
(ILL)
Materials not owned by this library system can be obtained through
a worldwide network of more than 11,000 libraries. Books must be at least 6 months past publication date to be requested. Note, some charges
may be associated with Interlibrary Loan, particularly magazine articles
not available in public libraries
Electronic Resources
The Main Library purchases subscriptions to online reference databases
on a wide variety of topics.
College and Career Carrel
Ohio and national college catalogs, guides to colleges, career information
aids and career guidance materials are available at the Main Library.
John Sherman
Room
The Main Library houses local and Ohio history collections and genealogical
sources in the John Sherman Room. High school yearbooks, nineteenth
century city directories, cemetery and military service records are
also available. |
