Make Your Own Magnetic Poetry

Join us as we celebrate National Poetry Month by making our own portable magnetic poetry sets. Use your imagination to create your ideal list of poetry words, and put them all together in a custom-made box perfect for writing mini poems on. All instructions and supplies will be provided.

Winners of the 8th Annual “Poetry By Me” contest will be announced by the Teen Advisory Board members. Come in, read your poetry to the audience, and listen to some award-winning poems.
ACT/SAT Strategy Session

Cheryl Welch, Ph.D. from the Sylvan Learning Center will present an overview of how to raise ACT/SAT test scores. You'll find out whether it is wise to leave questions blank, how to best guess, how to ace hard reading problems even when you are stuck in a difficult passage, and how to turn a tricky algebra problem into simple arithmetic. Find out what the differences are in the ACT and SAT and how to decide which one you should take. Parents are encouraged to attend with their student.
Make Your Own Marble Magnets

Red Cross Babysitting Training Course
Sat. Apr. 21 Madison 10 AM-2 PM
Ages 11-15 years. No exceptions participants must be at least 11 years old.
This course will teach the responsibilities and qualities of being a good babysitter, first aid and basic care skills, and what to expect from the person who hires you. For the all-day course, please bring a bag lunch and a drink. Sign up is required.
Teen Scavenger Hunt
Entire Month of May
Grades 6-12
Come in anytime during the month of May to take part in the Teen Scavenger Hunt. See if you can solve the mystery at the end with the clues from the scavenger hunt. Each person turning in a completed scavenger hunt entry form will receive an early Summer Library Program prize.
Pizza Taste-Off and Game Day
