Follow Your Dreams

There once was a man from Japan
Whose poetry never did scan.
He needed a balance,
With all of his talents
But he was quite a stubborn man.

He knew what he wanted to be.
It was so easy for him to see.
"I should be a poet.
That's it then! I know it."
But no one thought poems were his key.

He got some advice from a friend.
Who said "Listen up! That's the end!
Your poems are all bad!"
This made the man sad.
For himself his friend left him to fend.

So was he discouraged? Why no!
His ideas were starting to flow.
He was truly quite smart.
So with all of his heart,
He wrote! And his fame, it did grow!

So now I encourage all here;
Follow your dreams without fear.
And just like that man,
The man from Japan,
Your life will be bursting with cheer!

The Two Towers

The morning was cool.
The sun rose to the sky,
but little did I know how many would die.
The towers stood tall,
but they would not be back.
Now we all know of the terrorist attack.
No one forgets that old September day,
or all of those lives that had ended this way.
Those people had plans for me or for you,
but no one will know what they wanted to do.

I Hate the Beach!!

I'm at the beach. I'm having a lot of fun,
Before I ended up with sand in my buns!
I even got burned by the scorching hot sun!

I hate the beach!

I stepped on a big fish hook.
I even got my towel took!
I tripped and everyone looked!

I hate the beach!!

I'm so hungry; I have to eat.
But the restaurant only had some nasty meat!
It's better than going out in the heat!

I hate the beach!!!

It's time to go home; it's been a long day.
Home is better than the beach anyway!!
