Movie Reviews
Dreamgirls

This movie is based on the Broadway musical Dreamgirls; a story about three young women dreaming of making it big in the music industry in the 1960’s. While making their way to the top of the pop charts, there arises some turbulence among the group members which later questions the loyalty of its members. This movie stars Beyonce Knowles, Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy, and Jennifer Hudson.

I enjoyed the movie from beginning to end. Since I’m a lover of music I enjoyed the singing sequences combined with dance routines. The casting lineup was very good throughout, and their voices were phenomenal. This is a movie you can watch over and over again and laugh and cry with the characters as they grow and develop throughout the story.

Disturbia
Kale, a teenage boy finds himself on house arrest at the beginning of his summer  vacation. He thinks it’s going to be a boring summer, but it’s anything but. He suspects his next door neighbor is committing the local killings in his town, and it’s up to him to see if it’s true.

The movie was a good thrill movie. It keeps you wondering what will happen next. Even from the opening of the movie, you’ll be shocked to see what happens. Also, the skills Kale acquires while he’s on this manhunt are quite amazing.
