Katherine Alice (K.A.) Applegate is one of the greatest novelists in America. She is the celebrated author of over one hundred books.
More than half are part of the popular Animorph's series.
Applegate was born in 1956. Her chosen career is as freelance writer. she said she came by her idea for the Animorphs because she lived in the city and was surrounded by dogs, cats, and gerbils. In her free time, Applegate likes to play the cello, read, and play with her cats.
