Teen Tips – Raising Your Grades
- If you don’t like your test and quiz grades, double your study time. If you don’t currently study at all, start at 30 minutes per test.
- Ask you teacher for any extra credit assignments that you might do.
- Get a study buddy. Or maybe make flash cards, Or possibly take notes. Whatever it is, get a study system that works for you.
- Don’t ever not turn something in because it is not finished. Forty percent is better than a zero.
- When studying or doing homework, avoid distractions such as television, pets, radio, chat, or the phone. Also find a quiet place to study, like the library.
- Always start with your worst or least favorite subjects, so that you can focus best on them and also have something to look forward to.
- Do something as soon as you can to avoid pre-day cramming. If you get a project assigned one day, start on it the same day, in case other projects get assigned.
