Book Review
Tears of a Tiger

Tears of a Tiger is about situations that teens deal with everyday.  Mostly, it’s about some kids who make bad choices that affect them for the rest of their lives.  Andy is a normal high school student who plays basketball, hits on chicks, and hangs with friends.  One of his friends, Rob Washington, is the golden boy of his school.  Rob has good grades; he is handsome and awesome at basketball.  Rob has a great life.  After a big game however, everything goes wrong.  Rob and Andy drink and drive.  There is a big car accident, and Rob dies.  After the crash, Andy struggles to get his life back together.  This book is very moving.  It made me think about how this sort of thing happens all the time and can affect everyone.  Sharon M. Draper is a great author, because it seems like she really understands teens.  I loved this book so much I immediately read the next two in the series, Forged by Fire and Darkness Before Dawn.

When you are reading, do you ever feel lost?  Can you not understand the words?  Well, there is a solution!  They are called audio books, and they are both fun and useful.  If you do not understand the book you are reading, find the audio book version of it, and read along with it.  Or you can use them to reread a favorite book.  They are great for family car trips and plane flights.  They are also great to relax with.  Audio books are a great way to pass the time.  They come in both cassette and CD.  You can find audio books of everything (like mystery, fantasy, and horror) at your local library.
