Hats off to teachersBooks and Brunch 2006

Over 30 school librarians and teachers from Mansfield and all over Richland County gathered at the Main Library October 6th to learn about the resources available at the library for use in the classroom.

Educators arrived at 8:30 and had a chance to get acquainted with library staff and browse the displays before the program began. New library materials were on display and free posters, lists, bookmarks, and even some books were available to take back to school.

The program began with introductions of the 25 staff members in attendance. The Library’s new web site was shown, highlighting the features of most interest to teachers. In two breakout sessions staff presented research databases, the Library’s music index and new books for use in the classroom.
