Wise Owl

A wise old owl lived in an oak;
(flap wings like owl)

The more he saw the less he spoke;

(put hand above eyes like searching for somthing)

The less he spoke the more he heard.
(point to mouth, then to ears)

Why can’t we all be like that wise old bird?
(shrug shoulders)

Little Night Owl

Once there was a night owl who lived up in a tree.
(spread arms out like branches of a tree)

She could often spot things that others couldn’t see.
(point to eyes)

Little night owl, answer me,
What do you see as you sit alone at night up in that tree?

(spread arms out like branches of a tree)

I’m a Little Batlet

(sung to tune:
I'm a Little Teapot)

I’m a little batlet,
small and shy,
Hanging in a tree so near the sky.

When the night is starting
And the bugs come out
I drop from the tree
and fly all about.
