Fun Things to do With Your Children
For Little or NO Money!!

Rain, Rain, Go Away!! Let the kids go out and play!!

Summer vacation is drawing near. Do you have a game plan to keep them busy? There are many things to do in the Mansfield and surrounding areas for little or no cost!

Sign the kids up for the Summer Library Reading Program at any library branch. Kids will earn prizes for their reading while retaining the knowledge they learned in school the past year. Don’t forget to sign up for all of the incredible summer programs as well.

Check out Gorman Nature Center’s four miles of walking trails. Pack a picnic and enjoy bird watching. They have many opportunities for both young and old to learn through discovery. Gorman Nature Center is located at 2295 Lexington Avenue.

Walk through Kingwood Center, located at 900 Park Ave. West in Mansfield, and enjoy the beautiful floral exhibits. It’s free!

Enjoy the Carrousel downtown. For very little cost, the carrousel is a magnificent way to spend the day. After a few rides, stop by Coney Island and have an ice cream cone.

Other area attractions include Malabar State Park, Mohican Farm, the Ohio Bird Sanctuary, as well as local museums.
Enjoying the area’s history, wildlife, and free programs is not only a fun way to spend time with your kids in the summer, but will create lasting memories for them as well.

Check out these websites for more information about Mansfield and surrounding area activities!
