Study Tips:
Teach Good Study Habits to Children

After a nice, relaxing break from school over the holidays, it is time for children to return to school. Parents everywhere are clicking their heels in celebration. But don't celebrate to soon!. Going back to school means the homework wars are about to resume.

Many children are frustrated by the amount of homework they are given. Helping your child develop good study habits will help them to be successful in school and in life.
Kids are not born with good study habits or time management skills. Help your child this month by encouraging these skills.

  1. Set a regular time for homework. Some kids find it easier to complete their homework right after school, while others like to take a break and finish after dinner.

  2. Find a good place to set up a homework corner in your home where there will be few distractions.

  3. Make sure children understand that homework completion is a high priority and very important to you.
